In Part 2, we discussed the importance of having clear Business Objectives. This included is understanding the type of firm you are, the direction you want your company to go to, and the types of product and services you want to offer your customers. It also included setting goals and plans on retaining existing customers and acquiring new ones.

Once you have figured out what your goals for your company, it is time to plan how to achieve those goals. If you have followed the first two parts properly, then you already have an adequate amount of information.

The information you have gathered so far will help you come a long way when you are mapping out your strategies. Everything you know about the market, your target customers, and what your competitors are doing will give you an idea about how you should go about it. You need to do some research based on the secondary data and information that are easily available. You can check Google Trends, Analytics, Facebook Business Manager etc. Based on your industry you can also take a look at your competitor’s performance in order to develop a unique strategy. After doing these initial research you will get a couple of strategies that will work for you.

Ask yourself if the strategy you have chosen is the best for the particular goal you want to achieve. If not, are there any changes you could make in order to improve the strategy.
